Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics are having “serious discussions” about a trade involving Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. This should surprise no one after the departure of coach Doc Rivers. The Nets have discussed sending Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Tornike Shenglia and three first round picks to the Celtics for both Garnett and Pierce. But, source say, this “could get even bigger.” Garnett does still have that no-trade clause and hasn’t yet been approached about waiving it for this deal. The Celtics recently talked to the Clippers about including ‘KG’ as part of the Doc Rivers’ deal. The NBA has since blocked the Clippers and Celtics from exchanging any players this season. I, personally, think Boston would like to include either Jason Terry or Courtney Lee in any blockbuster deal.
