The Boston Celtics have finally replaced Doc Rivers, and you’re never gonna believe who they chose. The next coach in ‘Beantown’ will be Butler head coach Brad Stevens. According to Yahoo Sports, his deal is for six years and $22 million. There are some NBA veterans who wish they could get that amount. One of the better college coaches the past few years, Stevens is known for his use of advanced statistics. This is a common trend in the NBA (for better or worse). For what it’s worth, Brad is five months younger than former Celtic Kevin Garnett. This move all but means All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo is done in Boston. The fact that this isn’t a big name guy he approved of speaks volumes about his future. Think I’m wrong? Just look at the input Chris Paul had in bringing Doc Rivers to L.A. Rajon didn’t even get a call. I expect him to be long gone by training camp.
